Inga poczuła ogromną chęć pomagania we wszystkich pracach domowych. Niesamowicie nas to cieszy, aczkolwiek jest to wielkim wyzwaniem. Musimy bardzo przemyślanie wybierać zadania dla Ingi. Nie chcemy dawać jej zadań, których nie jest w stanie wykonać. Oprócz wieku ma niestety wiele ograniczeń. Słabe mięśnie nie pozwalają podnosić ciężkich przedmiotów (dla nas mogą wydawać się lekkie). Trudno jej przenosić rzeczy na miejsce. Raczkując ma zajęte ręce. Z wózeczka inwalidzkiego często wszystko spada. Ale gdy chodzi w chodziku i ortezach wiesza sobie torebeczki na uchwytach. Wszystko do nich pakuje i roznosi na miejsca. Jest wtedy taka szczęśliwa, że może pomóc. Ostatnio nauczyła się obierać fasolkę szparagową nożyczkami. Zgadnijcie, co jemy co drugi dzień na obiad?

W ubiegłym tygodniu dwie polskie rodziny brały udział w spotkaniu SMA Europe w Berlinie, podczas którego namawiano firmy farmaceutyczne do ustępstw w sprawie ceny i dostępności leków na SMA. Oby udało się osiągnąć dobre rozwiązania dla naszych małych pacjentów… https://www.fsma.pl/2017/10/zebranie-sma-europe-2/

Recently Inga felt an urge to help us with all home duties. We enjoy that very much but it is a kind of challenge as well. We need to choose work for Inga very carefully. We do not want to give her any duties she wouldn’t be able to do. In her case age is not an only limitation. Weak muscles do not let her carry heavy things (although they seems to be light for us). It is difficult for Inga to move things from one place to another. Once she crawls her hands are busy. When she rides a wheelchair it’s easy for things to fall down. But when she use her walker and splints she hang bags on handles, put everything in those bags and carry around a house. She is so happy and proud she can help us. Last week she learnt how to peel green beans. Guess what we have for a dinner every second day from now on?
