“It’s Inga’s birthday this week (20th April)… Last year at this time we were all waiting for her first steps. Were waiting and waiting and wait for nothing. She’s almost two now and it is impossible for her to walk even with support 🙁 . We didn’t expect things would go that way…
But scientists still working on SMA drug, This week another SMA conference took place – this time it was SMA Europe meeting at the Spanish Research Council in Madrid. New treatment strategies were discussed and clinical trials readiness were described. We knew before that to do Ph.D. in medical science without new drug invention is worth nothing… Now we have full respect to all scientists trying to do something with SMA disease. We believe in them and WAIT!

Inga has just got her new passport – first step to get cured 🙂
